Loyalty Programme Terms & Conditions

General

1.       The Flavours Rewards Programme (“the Programme”) is a reward programme operated by Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi (“the hotel”)

2.       Only persons who are 21 years or older are eligible to sign up for the Flavours rewards programme

3.       Acceptable valid Identification will be required by the rewards member on sign-up or when making use of hotel benefits

4.       Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi reserves the right, amongst other rights, to amend the status of a member in the programme or withdraw memberships at its sole discretion. In addition, the hotel reserves the right to suspend or terminate Programme participation where members are in breach of the terms and conditions, including but not limited to, qualification criteria

5.       Qualifying criteria for offers and benefits of the Programme shall commensurate with the activity status of the member

6.       Programme participation, rewards and benefits are not transferable

7.       Rewards, offers and benefits may not be used in conjunction with other offers and benefits of unrelated rewards/customer loyalty programmes, unless approved by the hotel

8.       Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi reserves the right without consultation with members or any prior approval thereof, to amend the terms and conditions for participating in the programme, including but not limited to alliance with other rewards/customer loyalty programmes. Equally rewards, benefits, Flavours points earned, special offers, expiry periods and rates at which points are earned may be amended from time to time

9.       The Flavours Rewards programme is valid only at Southern Sun Hotel Abu and not in any other Tsogo Sun hotels in Africa and Seychelles. The participating hotels may be  changed from time to time and such changes will be published under the terms and conditions on this website or communicated to members via email

10.   All bookings are subject to the existing terms and conditions prevailing at the time of booking, including meal and children's policies

11.   Members are required to notify the hotel of any changes in address or personal details, either in writing or in person at the Front Desk or Restaurant. Members can also update their own personal details by logging into their online profile

12.   Other Tsogosun group loyalty and partner programmes operate independently subject to their own terms and conditions and are unrelated to Flavours Rewards programme. Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi shall not be liable for any loss (including loss of income), injury, death and/or damages of any nature whatsoever and howsoever arising, including negligence on the part of Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi, which may occur as the result of the use of any products, goods or services offered by Tsogosun group and its partners

13.   The hotel reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel the Programme at any time with prior written notice. In addition the use of points and/or benefits may be suspended from time to time with prior written notice thereof

14.   Programme participants consent to the processing of their personal and special personal information by Southern Sun Abu Dhabi or its affiliates for historical, statistical and research purposes, and for the updating of personal information obtained from reliable sources. Requests for the deletion, amendment or updating of personal information should be made in writing. Information is not shared with third parties

15.   Recorded personal information may be accessed in compliance with the hotel’s parent group published Tsogo Sun Protection of Personal Information (“POPI”) policy. Recorded personal information  not required for Southern Sun Abu Dhabi’s performance pursuant to the Programme, programme participation, including assigned benefits, will be terminated immediately

16.   Programme participants indemnify and hold harmless, Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, Tsogo Sun, its subsidiaries, its owners, management and employees against any legal action, claim or suit, including but not limited to non-compliance in respect of consent requirements. Except where such legal action, claim or suit is a result of gross negligence and unlawful acts on the part of the hotel

18.   Rewards and benefits are applicable only when the member personally utilizes hotel restaurant or dining facilities

19.   Lost or stolen card may be replaced for an administration fee

20.   By making use of the programme, guests acknowledge that they are aware of the conditions of use. To ensure you receive your membership benefits and rewards, please present your Rewards member card when settling your bills at the relevant restaurant outlet

21.   Southern Sun Abu Dhabi cannot be held responsible for correspondence sent to you, which is lost or delayed in the mail

22.   Members may elect not to be included in Southern Sun Abu Dhabi’s marketing communications list by opting out at any time by notifying the hotel in writing. A reasonable period should be allowed for the hotel to give effect to aforementioned opt- out request; hence the Member may receive marketing communication during the transitional period

23.   Only individuals may enroll in Flavours Rewards programme to become members, corporation and/or association groups cannot enroll in the programme

24.   Southern Sun Abu Dhabi reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member should the programme be used in a manner inconsistent with the terms and conditions or if there is reasonable grounds for suspecting fraud and/or dishonesty. Discontinued membership may result in the loss of all accumulated points, benefits and privileges

25.   Employees of Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, Tsogo Sun or any subsidiary of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited may not participate in the programme


STATUS level & rewards

1.       Flavours is a reward programme based on spend in the Food & Beverage Outlets at Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi

2.       Status Points required for each status level:

o     Honey: Entry level

o     Saffron: 1,500 Status Points

o     Caviar: 2,500 Status Points

3.       Your Exclusive Honey card entitles you to:

o     1 reward point for every AED 10 spent in any outlet

o     Complimentary cake on your birthday

o     Upgrade to Saffron when you accumulate 1500 points

o     Lifetime validity

4.       Your Exclusive Saffron card entitles you to:

o     1.5 reward point for every AED 10 spent in any outlet

o     Complimentary cake on your birthday

o     Complimentary house grapes or soft drinks on your birthday

o     Priority booking

o     Accumulate minimum 250 reward points to maintain status

o     Upgrade to caviar when you accumulate 2500

5.       Your Exclusive Caviar card entitles you to:

o     2 reward point for every AED 10 spent in any outlet

o     Complimentary cake on your birthday

o     Complimentary bubbly or soft drinks on your birthday

o     Priority booking

o     Exclusive invitation to events

o     Exclusive early birds offer

o     Accumulate minimum 400 reward points to maintain status

6.       Your Exclusive Blu Sky card entitles you to the above status level tiers based on amount spent and rewards points are transferrable for use in all hotel owned outlets

7.       Status will be calculated within a rolling 12 month period and points are valid up to one year from the date of credit

8.       Points are credited on the base amount excluding applicable fees, taxes and service charge

9.       Members will automatically be upgraded upon reaching the required Status Points for an upgrade. Saffron and Caviar member status is valid for 1 year from date of issue. Members that do not maintain or meet the required Status Points will be put on a status level in accordance with their Status Points they have accumulated

10.   Southern Sun Abu Dhabi shall not be liable for any loss of value or Flavours Rewards from Memberships in any manner and howsoever arising. Members are required to safeguard their card, system login details and any other value linked to their membership against loss, theft or fraudulent use

11.   Members are required to present their membership card together with a valid positive and acceptable form of identification for transactions and claiming rewards or redeeming of Flavours points. Rewards are accumulated at the time of settling the current bill. Points may not be rewarded in retrospect on previous purchases

12.   The accumulation of points by other persons on behalf of the registered member is expressly prohibited and is grounds for termination of programme participation and forfeiture of Flavours rewards points and benefits

13.   Rewards are applicable on bills for a table of up to 12 guests

14.   Points can be exchanged ,subject to availability, for accommodation stays which must include a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night

redeeming your reward points

1.       For the purpose of redemption 1 point = 1 AED Dirham

2.       Flavours points can be redeemed to pay towards Food & Beverage at hotel owned restaurants and bars

3.       The total restaurant bill including all government fees, taxes and service charge can be settled by redeeming Flavours points

4.       Flavours points cannot be redeemed to pay for any other hotel services except Food & Beverage dining services at restaurants/bars

5.       Accommodation and conferencing charges cannot be settled by Flavours Rewards points

6.       Flavours Rewards points cannot be used to pay for discretionary tips

7.       Members cannot redeem Flavours points at other Tsogo Sun hotel restaurants except at Southern Sun Hotel Abu Dhabi

8.       No redemption will be honoured at any restaurant/bar without a member supplying their membership card and valid ID
